the sky is falling....the sky is...

As I have been a little lax in my posting lately...mainly due to it being about the S old S around here...the world is slowly coming to an end. I started my 401k a few weeks ago...hopefully they will have started taking money out of my check this week...in time for the stock market to lose 1.2 ttttttttrrrrriiiiiillllliiiiiiooooonnnn dollars... Good times. But maybe I can get a lot of stocks for cheep! Is your bank safe? Is gas going up again? Are there layoffs left and right? Worried about your job? People gotta eat right? People dont have to fly thousands of miles though...

An old friend of mine and I made contact today...and it got me thinking about my circle of friends. I dont really have one anymore. Why is that? Some peoples get larger over the years...and for some, technology has made this easier...Myspace, facebook, thisandthat social networking. But while you might have 542 ’friends’ online, how many do you see in real life? Me? I have an online friend or two...and one person I see regularly that I love and trust...and thats about it. Am I turning too cynical even for others to be around? Or is it, as has been discussed, just not really the place to have friends...here in paradise?

Politics as usual...I registered to vote for the first time since the voter fraud incident that shook any faith I had in the system...18 years ago. I still dont care for it. I mean why should I like governmental politics, when I cant stand work politics.
